Cookie Policy
Last updated: June 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Skullkey Security ("we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on skullkeysec.com (the "Site"). It explains what these technologies are, why we use them, and your rights to control our use of them. This policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, to work more efficiently, and to provide reporting information. Cookies set by the site owner (us) are called "first-party cookies". Cookies set by parties other than the site owner are called "third-party cookies", and they enable third-party features or functionality such as analytics.
How we use cookies
We use cookies for the following purposes:
| Category | Purpose | Consent |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Required for the Site to function — e.g. remembering your cookie preferences and maintaining security. The Site cannot work properly without these. | Always on |
| Analytics & performance | Help us understand how visitors use the Site (pages viewed, time on page) so we can improve it. These are only set if you accept. | Optional |
| Functional | Remember choices you make to give a more personalised experience. Only set if you accept. | Optional |
Cookies we currently set. At the time of writing, the only persistent
value we store is skullkey.cookie-consent —
a strictly-necessary entry in your browser's local storage that records your cookie
choice so we don't ask again. We do not currently run third-party advertising cookies.
If we add analytics, they will only load after you accept.
Your choices
- Consent banner. When you first visit, you can Accept or Decline optional cookies via the banner at the bottom of the page.
-
Change your mind. To reset your choice, clear this site's data in your
browser settings (or delete the
skullkey.cookie-consentvalue), then reload — the banner will appear again. - Browser controls. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies via their settings. Blocking strictly-necessary cookies may affect how the Site works.
Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. As there is no agreed industry standard for DNT, we do not currently respond to DNT signals, but we keep optional tracking off by default until you consent.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the cookies we use or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The "Last updated" date at the top indicates when it was last revised.
